This morning I woke up thinking about Bethany and how our relationship has evolved over the years. One of my first memories of her is playing house where I HAD to be the mommy b/c I was older and thus more suited to the job. We used to play family/ school/ tea party for hours on end!








A few years down the road we couldn't stand to be in the same space. There were many times we would cross the imaginary line dividing the backseat just to annoy each other... "Mom! She's touching me!/ She's looking at me!/ She's breathing MY air!!!!!" LOL




 



Then came the teenage years when we had fun again, but would still rather be with our friends instead of each other.











As young adults we became better friends. We enjoyed being together, in fact we WANTED to spend time with each other! We would go to "chick flicks" and dream about what the future held for us.
















Eventually our life decisions slowly divided us again. While we still loved each other we had to go down our separate paths. Over the past 5 years Bethany and I have grown closer. She is not only my sister, but one of my dearest friends. I am truly blessed to have the relationship I have with her! Our relationship has been tested by many fires, and each time it is refined to become stronger and purer.








So today on your birthday I speak blessings over you and your family. You are a treasure beyond anything I could have imagined! Your grace and beauty is not only external, but shines from within. I pray that this next year of life you achieve the goals you set for yourself, and that when you look back all you would see is the way God has brought you through difficult times.
